Lesbian Found Dead; Buried 4 Hours Later

This locally known lesbian in her mid-40's was discovered dead by neighbors. They called the police who 'investigated' the situation and allegedly contacted the woman's family. Unfortunately, before the family could arrive or any autopsy could be done, the hearse arrived on the scene, scooped the dead chica up, and planted her in the ground faster than a rocket-sled on rails. Less than 4 hours after the police were called, actually. When the family tried to contact the authorities to find out who authorized the burial or why an autopsy wasn't done, they were stonewalled.

Not really sure if this is simply an example of government ineptitude or if some sort of cover-up is being perpetuated. A Brazilian LGBT advocacy group is calling for an exhumation of the body, claiming that she was likely strangled in a hate crime and the issue was covered up by local police.

The police claimed that several neighbors told them that the woman liked a drink, so they wrote the death up as 'alcohol related' and buried her. The lack of an autopsy or even a trip to the morgue is quite suspicious, though. Apparently they took her straight from the bed where she died to the local cemetery and dropped her in.

Sorry there's only one photo, but I thought the story was whacky enough to be worth posting.
