The B/W pic of the mother and the child won a Pulitzer award, I remember. I think they came out on the balcony due to the apartment fire, waiting to be rescued by the Firefighters. Just when the ladder was extended to them and a fireman got on the balcony, it collapsed. The mother died but miraculously the child survived. I think there are more pictures capturing all the details of this tragedy. It's sad but clearly one of the most breathtaking pictures. |

That's intense the apparent mother and child falling from a building... I wonder if that hotel captalizes on it being "haunted" by the spirits of these two very unlucky people. Hotel's are horrible about doing that, it's easier to say it's haunted than saying in their solgans... and oh by the way, your room, two people fell to their deaths from that window, hope you don't mind...
