Larissa da Silva, 17, Killed and Dumped in a Lagoon, Contagem 2022
After a confrontation at a funk dance, Larissa Estefani da Silva, 17, was forced into a car trunk and beaten to death. Her body was left in the Varzea das Flores lagoon in Contagem, Greater Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where two fishermen found it floating on the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was known locally by a nickname linked to a '171' tattoo on her thigh, referring to the Brazilian penal code article for fraud. The car owner was arrested two days later, while a couple was arrested in Rio de Janeiro in March 2023. Reports differ over whether the motive involved friction within a trafficking group or a business scheme that went sour. |

The Civil Police is investigating the death of an adolescent, known as "Terror 171". The body of L.E.d.S. was found this Sunday morning (6) in the Várzea das Flores lagoon, in the Solar da Madeira neighborhood, in Contagem, Greater Belo Horizonte. According to the Military Police, two men who went fishing there found the body floating. The forensics team was called and identified several bruises and traumas on the young woman's face. There were signs that she had been dragged. A wheel wrench and two stones with hair strings were also found. The body was taken to the Medico-Legal Institute (IML) and already released to the family. L. had several tattoos all over her body in support of drug trafficking. On her chest she had the words "Blessed" printed. She also had the numbers 171 tattooed on one of her thighs, a known acronym for the article in the penal code that indicates the crime of fraud. According to information obtained by the report, on Saturday night (5), the young woman was at a party with other people. Videos circulating on social networks show her with her body out of a moving car and shirtless. In another video, L. is forcibly placed in the trunk of a vehicle. On social networks, the teenager posted several photos in sexy clothes and poses. She also posted videos supposedly smoking marijuana. In the comments, acquaintances lamented the death of the young woman. In a note, the Civil Police said that, so far, no one has been arrested. |
