In Maastricht (NL) a woman was found in a suitcase. Two witnesses observed a male, throwing the suitcase from a bridge, into the Maas river. In the suitcase was the deceased body of an unknown woman. For tips goto politie.nl

The body found hidden in a suitcase in the Maas river in Maastricht on Friday is that of a white woman aged 40 to 60, police said on Sunday.

They have now appealed for help in identifying the woman in Belgium and Germany as well as the Netherlands because of Maastricht’s central location.

Two eyewitnesses saw a man throwing a large suitcase into the river on Tuesday and police say they suspect the case containing the body is the same one.

A photograph of the woman has been placed on the police website. She was 1.70 tall, had dark brown hair and wore a gold ring and gold earrings.

Police hope a post mortem will determine the cause of death and provide more clues about the woman’s identity.
