KTM Rider, 26, Dies February 23, 2021, After Crash in Tiantai County, Zhejiang
A 26-year-old woman riding a KTM 390 Duke was fatally injured in a crash on provincial road S323 in the Hanshanhu section of Tiantai County, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, on February 21, 2021. The rider, identified only as a woman surnamed Yuan, was overtaking a sedan on a curve at about 2:55 p.m. when she crossed the solid center line to pass on the left. The rear of her motorcycle scraped the front of the sedan, causing her to lose balance and strike a roadside guardrail. She was taken to a hospital and died at about 10 a.m. on February 23 after resuscitation efforts failed. Yuan lived in Chicheng Subdistrict and was locally known as a tattoo artist and motorcycle enthusiast. The sedan driver was not reported injured. Taizhou traffic police said the crash remained under investigation, and no fault determination had been announced. |
