Killed on Her Way Home from Church
Well, at least that's one of the stories. The other one says that she left her daughter at a bus stop and then walked home. They seem to agree that the 40 years old woman at some time yesterday was approached by a man (at least one source mentions the infamous motorbike), who wanted her cellphone. Seems like she either didn't have one or didn't bring it, so she couldn't give it to him. So in his anger, he beat her in the head with a stick. The sources leave the impression that one blow killed her. The church version says that she had attended a vigil in an evangelical church and was on her way home at 4 in the morning. The bus stop story doesn't mention the time of day. But I would say that 4 am would be a good time to choose for that type of robbery, so that gives the church story an extra point in my book (had one already for the story itself). One source use a lot of space complaining the lack of police in the city - they make it out as one per 800 citizens on night duty (one point more for the church version - this source mentions both), which in my opinion should be more than enough. But of course, I don't live in violent Brazil |

Re: Killed on Her Way Home from Church
Can't even go to church in Brazil without getting picked off now. Tell me again how Brazil got the WC and Olympics? |
