Kesia Alves Bezerra Found Murdered, Face Disfigured, Ourilândia do Norte, 2017
Kesia Alves Bezerra was killed on November 18, 2017. Residents found her body the following morning in scrub near the airport in Ourilândia do Norte, in the southern part of Brazil's Pará state. Her face had been disfigured by assaults that the court attributed to her former boyfriend, Cassiano Araújo Silva. A jury convicted Silva on December 3, 2021, following a trial that lasted about seven hours. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison under a closed regime. Silva denied the charge, and his defense sought to blame a deceased third person who was not part of the proceedings. Prosecutors argued that Silva was the only person with an interest in killing Bezerra.

This absolutely was the work of Chupacabra's. She was trying to shoo them out of her neighbourhood. Convincing everyone to sprinkle broken lightbulbs into their children's hair, and carry strychnine pellets in their pockets, having them walk in pairs at night. A Chupacabra can only take so much shit, and this girl had them cornered.
