This reminds me of a story my uncle once told me. He lived in the remote woods of Maine and was doing a brake job for a friend. As he was taking the shoes off the rear brakes a spring broke and lodged in his eye. His friend didn't know how to put the brakes back together so my uncle had to finish the brake job bleeding profusely from his eye and almost going into shock so his friend could drive him to the hospital because there was no ambulance company that would go that far into the woods.
