My point in this thread, which Vedderman willfully overlooked as he often does when showing up to troll 90% of my responses, was that Christians do not expect God to protect them from bad things, and that death is not the end. It's not even a question of belief. Human beings are born with an innate understanding that there is a God and we all will stand one day to give account. Atheists pretend not to believe this but they just can't get it out of the back of their heads. Drop by the critical care ward any night of the week and you'll see hardened gangsters and Ph.D professors alike crying out to God for forgiveness with their final breaths. It's a good thing God is merciful because most of them spent a lifetime trying to drown that voice with booze, drugs, and sin. I know I did.

There’s no logic to this. If you’re a Christian, a Muslim can say the same thing to you - “I’d rather believe in Islam and be wrong than not believe in Islam and be wrong.”
