Drunk driver enters the counter at Avenida Torquato Tapajós, Flores neighborhood, Central-South Zone of Manaus and causes serious accident on Sunday morning (27) in front of the Municipal Club, towards downtown.

Olisvaldo Nascimento Conceição, 47, was driving the Honda / CB600F Hornet motorcycle, yellow color, plate NOR-8255, died in the hour after the collision with a bus from Eucatur company, line 448. The head and belly of the victim were crushed by vehicle wheels. The accident occurred around 6 o'clock, in front of the Municipal Club, towards the center of the neighborhood, on Avenida Torquato Tapajós, Flores neighborhood, Central-South Zone of Manaus.

According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was traveling at high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle and hit the curb and fell on the blue track. At that moment, the articulated bus that traveled in the same direction, model Volvo / Marcopolo Viale, white, plate JXU-9061, passed with the front wheel over Olivasdo, which did not resist. The victim was not wearing a safety helmet.

After the accident, the driver of the collective, who did not have the name revealed, remained on the scene and provided clarifications about the accident to the police. Agents from the Municipal Institute of Engineering and Traffic Inspection (Manauatrans) were in place to control the flow of vehicles that had retention.

The body of the victim was referred to the Medical Legal Institute (IML).

What an amateur. A real martial artist woulda judo chopped that bus and stopped its progress.

He wasn’t wearing a helmet, or any kind of protective clothing, travelling at speed on a motorbike. I don’t think it would have made a huge difference here though, but still a fool. Those tyre tracks in his abdomen are grim, as is the hole in his skull.

It's been quite some time since I've seen an accident like this one. Horrible death. The driver will have this mental image forever.
