The shooters involved made sure their stories tallied with each others, they lied and got away with it. They murdered him, fully sanctioned by dim senior officers. Massive, obvious whitewash job. Bad day for British justice.

I remember this case well and live not far from Stockwell station. Thing is, if the guy WAS a threat the police would have been heroes. Damned if they do or don't. Life here in London was very tense back then.
