Jealous Boyfriend Slashes Girl's Throat
This young couple had been dating (though not wed) for several years; both were students at CTI computer college. According to his testimony, the guy had been suspicious for several weeks that his girlfriend had a back door man, but had not decided on the best way to confront her about it. So at some point, he suggested they pack up a picnic lunch and go for an afternoon drive. They did so, with the guy behind the wheel, driving the girlfriend's car. After lunch, they went driving in the country and he opted to discuss her alleged infidelity. While the discussion was happening, the car got as overheated as his temper did, so they pulled it off the road at a small pumping station to let it cool. When it failed to restart, the ongoing argument heated up as dispositions became even more strained with the auto breakdown. At some point during the discussion, the fella blew more gaskets than the car and decided he was just done. He reached into the back seat and crabbed a carving knife they'd used to slice fruit for the picnic, then he held his girlfriend in place in the passenger's seat and ran the blade across her throat a few times. When he saw that she was dead, he fled into the brush, leaving her body in the front seat with blood running down her chest. Another passerby saw the car within a few minutes and called the police, but the girl was pronounced dead when they arrived. Humor aside, what I meant was, they were young and passionate, it blinded them. My understanding was he SUSPECTED her of cheating, was there solid proof? If not and she is innocent, she might have been extremely insulted by his interrogation. In anger she might have said some passive aggressive sarcastic shit that fueled the jealousy. Which drove him to killing her.... If they were more mature, one of them may have backed down one step and allowed the situation to calm down and avoided the whole disaster. |
