Italian Tourist Murdered While on Vacation in Brazil
29 year old Italian tourist was working at a hostel in Brazil, in exchange for room and board during her travels. She was found this afternoon near a beach, beaten to death with massive head injuries, likely from a stone or similar object. She was found wearing only a bikini and a backpack. The backpack contained her passport and a package of chewing gum. Local police already have a suspect, but the article was unclear as to whether or not he was in custody yet. It is not yet determined whether sexual assault was a factor, but the coroner did say that she had several defensive wounds, so she obviously fought her attacker...and lost.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
