ISIS Mass Beheading of Syrian Officers and Pilots at Dabiq, November 2014
On November 16, 2014, ISIS issued a 16 minute recording titled Although the Disbelievers Dislike It. Made at Dabiq in northern Syria, it depicts captives whom ISIS said were Syrian Arab Army pilots and officers being beheaded at the same time. The prisoners wore blue jumpsuits and were taken past a container holding knives before being compelled to kneel side by side. Roughly 22 executioners, most with their faces uncovered, then killed them. Initial reports on the day it appeared estimated about a dozen victims, but subsequent frame-by-frame analyses produced a count of as many as 22. None has ever been identified publicly by name. At the conclusion, the recording displays the severed head of American aid worker Peter Kassig. A masked chief spokesman speaking with a British accent was dubbed Jihadi John by the press. Press reports subsequently identified him as Mohammed Emwazi, a Kuwaiti-born Londoner. He was never charged, and a US drone strike killed him in Raqqa in November 2015. French authorities named 22-year-old French convert Maxime Hauchard as a participant in the executions. The US government confirmed that the recording was authentic. Fucking brutal. Are these guys, the ones that died, given anything? They look so calm. I'd be crying and freaking the fuck out. |

Re: ISIS Mass Beheading of Syrian Officers and Pilots at Dabiq, November 2014
The only way I can deal with this is thinking that they will be dead 8-10 seconds after the main carotid and jugular arteries are cut- This will never stop- we should just leave these countries to it. Given time they would naturally evolve like we in the West did from the Middle Ages but right now the Middle East is in their own Middle Ages and we'd be better to butt out. |
