Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway 400 in 1963, Tiny Lund crashes into the barrier. He would go on to win a number of races including the Daytona 500 1963. He would sadly lose his life during the Talledega 500 1975. |

Reading PA Fairgrounds 1/2 mile dirt track on March 29, 1964. Roger McCluskey in Wally Meskowski's sprinter were the defending USAC National Sprint Champions. Roger spun off and broke his arm in this nasty looking accident. Roger won the USAC Sprint Car title in 1963 and 1966, the USAC Stock car title in 1969 and 1970. The Champ Car title in 1973. His first USAC Stock Car race resulted in a second place finish in Phoenix, Arizona in January 1968 |

Johnny Thompson's USAC Midget Car crash 1959 at the Williams Grove Speedway, he suffered a broken ankle and leg.

June 16th 1968 a USAC sprint car race at Terre Haute on the half mile course, Herman Wise in Robert Ziegler's 'RZ Special'. Wise hooked a rut and flipped several times, landing on his wheels, uninjured.

On lap 43 of the Great Race at Bathurst, Australia, a tyre blew on Bill Brown’s Ford ****** GTHO at 160kmh through McPhillamy Park and it rolled along a metal barrier, cutting the car in two. Bill survived because his seat broke and he ended up lying down. He also narrowly missed a spectator at the start of the roll. |

Peter Lindner's fatal crash during the Paris 1000km at the Montlhery circuit in 1964 driving his lightweight Jaguar E-Type. The car was found in a shed ten years after the crash and four years ago fully restored. |
