Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Frenchman Patrick Tambay takes the front off of his Ligier JS17 at the US Grand Prix 1981. As you can see from both photos he was very lucky to walk away.. Tambay won two Can Am titles in the US and two Grand Prix during his career. |

Start line crash at the 1973 F2 race at Thruxton in the UK. Jarier is blocked by Ikuzawa, and as a result crashes into Wilson Fittipaldi. Everyone escapes unhurt...

Yet another track worker killed in a horrific manner This one is not very well known outside racing circles However it is just as horrifying and still makes me sick to my stomach watching it I hate this video, I hate it with a passion 1990 Molson Indy: Vancouver Canada Track Worker Jean Hein RIP Two other track workers were injured, one suffered a broken jaw, the other worker suffered a broken leg |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
My contact on the Rich Vogler video sent me a link to this video and said that if the person who requested the Vogler video was a fan of ESPNs "Thursday Night Thunder" then you have to share this video with him and others Gary Bettenhausen (son of famous Indy 500 legend Tony Bettenhausen Sr. who sadly lost his life at Indy) an Indy 500 veteran who tried to fight Gordon Smiley after the 1981 Indy 500 when Garys little brother Tony Jr (who had been lapped by Smiley, Garza, Andretti and Bobby Unser 1,673,908 times and was so out of the race he should have been sitting down for dinner instead of clogging up the track) got a flat and instead of getting off the apron and on the infield decided to put along until he could slide into the pits at 5mph and made no effort to get out of the way when the pack still in the race came around on him, and surprise surprise Smiley nicked him and crashed out Neither Smiley nor Tony Jr were hurt, but that night on a radio interview Smiley said Tony Jr was a dumb shit rookie who had his head up his ass and while Smiley didnt think he would have won he would have placed top 4 and most likely top 3 Gary didnt like what he heard so the next day before the dinner celebration Gary got in Smileys face and told him he better stand up at the dinner and take back what he said about his brother or he was going to kick Smileys ass Smiley laughed and brushed him off and Gary had a heart attack and swoire as soon as Smiley showed up he was a dead man Well Smiley didnt show up (and because of the Unser/Andretti controversy nobody really showed up anyways) and the next year before any words could be exchanged Smiley was killed Im sure after watching Smiley hit the wall Gary felt about as big as Tom Thumb Anyways, Gary was a great driver for sure, I have nothing against him, just wanted to share that piece of Indy history with everyone Enjoy the video |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
And here is my own video I can share with Rich Vogler in it! This is from the 1985 Indy 500 when Howdy Holmes causes Vogler and Sneva to crash out This is not a crash clip from the 80s Indy 500 DVD (not that there is anything wrong with that as I love those clips and have tons of them) but ripped straight from VHS recording of the 1985 Indy 500 |
