Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
WRC 2017 season has started in Monte Carlo. A spectator was fatally injured in a crash involving Hayden Paddon on the first special stage. Did anyone manage to save a good quality video? Youtube links seem to be dying very fast...

The 1965 Belgian Grand Prix was held in very wet conditions and on lap 27 Richard Attwood lost control of his Lotus 25 and wrapped it around a telegraph pole somehow without serious injury.

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
YouTube has the full race, wiki has a section on it, a simple google search reveals several articles and this link (hopefully) takes you to the SI story. http://www.si.com/vault/1999/05/10/2...e-motor-sports The pictures from the story that infuriated the IRL and saw the temporary revocation of Indy 500 credentials for Hinton must be out there somewhere. The article makes the sensible point that high banked tracks are a problem for IRL - only 12 years would go by before they actually acknowledged it. I still maintain that had Renna had his crash during an actual race, oval racing would have undergone a massive, radical overhaul TD. |

Thanks for your response Dark. I have seen the usual links but I couldn't find anything specific to the Hinton article. Open wheel racing has been pretty lucky over the years, so have some of the fans......

That car was sold to John Pfrommer of Pottstown, PA and was driven by Tommy Hinnershitz. Car is being restored to the Pfrommer #1.
