Markku Alen on the 1982 San Remo rally in the Lancia 037 nearly talking out a group of spectators. Markku won 19 World Rallies in a career spanning 1973 to 2001 and the 1978 FIA Cup for Drivers. |

Horrific fatal crash for veteran New South Wales driver John Mansell during the 2013 Targa Tasmania when his Porsche Cayman ran off the road at Exton becoming airborne for around fifty metres before hitting a tree...his co-driver Tristan Catford survived with multiple injuries.

Ken Block's huge crash at the the Lake Superior Performance Rally in Michigan in 2013, the last round of the US Championship in his Ford Fiesta. Ken Block has competed in many action sports events including skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross, produced numerous Gymkhana-style driving videos, competed in the US and World Rally Championships. He has won 16 US Championship rallies and a best of 7th in the WRC. |

Sammy Davis' wrecked Invicta S-type at Brooklands in 1931. Davis won Le Mans in 1927 and was second in 1929 and '30 driving Bentleys. |

Maxime Berger at the Donington World Superbike race meeting 2011. During race one the rear wheel sheared off the Team Supersonic Ducati 1198 just above the hub sending its rider off luckily at one of the slowest corners. 'The ring broke and I was lucky because it broke into a slow corner,' said Berger. 'I found myself on the ground without knowing what happened.' |

...Jack Brabham... This is a photo of a sizeable crash during the 1959 Portuguese GP in 1959 when the Copper left the track at high speed throwing out Jack after hitting a electric pole. Three times world champion with 126 starts, 14 wins, 31 podiums, 253 points during 1955 to 1970. Numerous F2, sportcar wins, four Indy 500 starts with a best finish of 9th in 1962 starting the rear engineed revolution at the brickyard. |
