The Martini/Fittipaldi crash is almost the same as the Franchitti/Yasakawa crash at Kansas back in 2007? Dario was of course extremely lucky to hit the wall at the angle he did, and admitted it was 100% his fault. I think that crash and his airborne monster crash at Michigan 1 week prior played a big part in his short-lived jump into Nascar.

This is Tommy Ivo’s four-engined, four-wheel-drive Showboat which was later rebuilt with a body and called The Wagon Master. It has four big block Buick V8's and during 1961 managed to run low 9s at dragstrips around the US.

A crash on the opening lap of the Monaco GP in 1962 at the Gazomètre Hairpin. Richie Ginther's BRM fails to stop for the hairpin, (it is believed his throttle stuck open), and takes out Maurice Trintignant's Lotus who crashed into Innes Ireland's Lotus and then Dan Gurney's Porsche.

The right-rear wheel flew off of Ginther's car and struck the head of a marshal stood nearby, named Ange Baldoni, who died in hospital nine days later.
