John Cleland crashes his Ford ****** into the rear of the stricken Holden Commodore of Jason Plato, during the Bathurst 1000 in 1984, both were unhurt. John had this to say about his rival, 'I don't know what he was doing in the middle of the track travelling so slowly. It was a big hit and Plato should have been well off to the side of the track. This is the not the place to be friggin' around like that.' 'I couldn't believe that he was in the middle of the track on the fastest part of the circuit and doing 40 kph, it's just ridiculous behaviour” |

Fabian Coulthard's massive crash on the opening lap of the Bathurst 1000 in 2010 after a tyre blew out. Fabian was uninjured. Fabian is a second cousin of former Formula One driver David Coulthard. |

Dario Franchitti's car is spun in the pit lane on lap 15, during the 2012 Indy 500, by E.J. Viso. After rejoining in 29th place Dario went on to win his third 500 after nearly being taken off by Takuma Sato on the last lap.

Nasty crash for Michael Charnock at the Isle of Man TT. Not fatal but bad enough for him to take up team management...

Would have been nice to see Sato win.... Sato took part in 92 GP'S with a best result of 3rd in the 2004 US GP. |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Not that I have any real affinity for Franchitti, but I feel he gave Sato just enough space to have a crash Plus I think it was somewhat "written" that one of Wheldon's friends was going to win (I'd have preferred Kanaan honestly). |
