Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
I was doing that on pages 1-8 or so on purpose as I only want DR members to view the pictures, non members will get shut out after so many views and if they do a Google search for a specific crash and I have Tommy Boy instead of Tom Sneva then that post will not come up Thats why I named the pictures that way as well Im glad you said something because I was planning on making a post with all the names and year of the crash in order by post and page number Now I just got a fire lit under me |

I also tried to post clues so that DR members who didnt know the crash/driver could type in the clues into Google and find more info Some of the clues sucked im sure But from here on out names dates and info will be posted with such ferocity that even the avid readers will tell me to shut up |

Thanks AK! Wow, I missed a lot of clues for sure. Anyway, thanks so much for all of your work putting all of this together for us. Did you work with racing in some capacity, or are you "just" a super-fan? I hate to use that word just.

I just a fan and I happen to enjoy rare hard to find things, those come together very well for this thread I enjoy the race side of the Indy 500 and F-1 (not anymore I hate all racing and have not really cared since Senna died. With his death we lost the last great pure driver from my era ) a million times more then the rarest crash pic on earth |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Wow thats crazy because last night I was organizing my Imola 1994 folder I have so many crash photos because of the number of accidents Mixed in with Imola is a bunch of random crashes from 1994 as well I will try my best to find all the photos of Ratzy, but I might just post Senna, Ratzy, Barrichlello, Lehto and Lamy all at the same time I hate this Grand Prix with a passion, I was crushed when Senna died, and Ratzy looked like he was going to take F-1 by storm just like he had before in every type of open wheel car or road race, oval, any track he raced on he was a front runner RIP to Senna and Ratzy |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Just want to say thanks for an awesome collection - as a former member of the website that's watermarked on the Gordon photos, I can confirm there's absolutely no trickery going on, that was a horrifying crash. I do believe that Cevert was effectively split in two, you can tell the torso/head is restrained and it's pretty impossible to be connected and have your legs in the position they landed. Any driver's death is a tragedy, but some of the "fire" deaths were truly horrifying. Thanks again for your efforts Alvin |

Have you any pictures of the Bill Vuklovich (sp) from 1955? There was this one picture where you can see his hand sticking out from his overturned car. Then many years later his grandson Vuky III dies in a race. My heart goes out to Vuky II--horrible to lose both father and son to racing. |
