This is Mark Porter's fatal Bathurst crash from 2006. Porter spun his Holden Commodore and was left stranded in the middle of the track in an area blind to oncoming traffic. David Clark sent his Ford ****** sideways in an attempt to escape the collision but crashed directly into Porter's driver's side door at around 180kph. Clark suffered a punctured right lung, fractures to his pelvis, right arm and leg. Porter was taken to Hospital and later that day airlifted to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney with serious head and chest injuries but died in late afternoon of Sunday 8th October 2006. |

Cale Yarborough, who was trying to defend his 1968 Daytona 500 win wipes out in the 1969 race. Yarborough won the Daytona 500 four times, won 84 NASCAR races and he is one of only two drivers in NASCAR history to win three consecutive championships. He also finished 10th at the Indy 500 in 1972. |
