Indonesian Hanging Suicide
21 year old college student ostensibly had a falling out with her boyfriend. She decided it was worth dying for, so she tried to slit her wrist. Either she couldn't get deep enough, wasn't cutting correctly and got fed up with the pain, or whatever else, she bled a little bit and then gave up and opted for a noose instead. Her body was discovered by the landlord of the boarding house, as she had apparently hanged herself in the public laundry room rather than her bedroom. Presumably so that her body would be discovered and she wouldn't rot for days like they often do there in the jungle heat. She was presumed to have been dead between 8-12 hours when discovered. He called the police immediately. One of the rescue workers who arrived posted some of these photos on his FB page and people went batshit. He literally had hundreds of 'netizens' complaining that it had to be murder because no one can hang themselves while sitting down.  Further, many of them complained that her tongue wasn't hanging out which also 'always' happens in hangings, so it had to be murder. So many of these idiots raised hell and demanded 'justice' that the local news outlets were even reporting on the outrage. The police department issued a statement indicating that it was definitely a suicidal hanging. They confirmed that she had discussed suicide with a friend earlier in the day. They also confirmed that her tongue was swollen and protruding up against the backs of her front teeth and that she had bitten down on it during the process of strangulation. Finally, they verified that when the body was inspected, the presence of both urine and feces were discovered in her underpants and there was urine drying on the floor beneath her corpse, indicating that she had voided her bowels and bladder while asphyxiating in that spot, as is extremely common in hanging deaths. Well I can see where she went wrong with the wrist slitting attempt.. She cut across her wrists which won't do jack shit....just a world of pain as you cut bone and tendon. You need to slice along the arm..insert deep and then slice up and down the arm....  Never across... |

it's sad to see these women who can't handle reality  and them pukes who lead them on saying how much they love'em and shit just to get in their pants... i know this because i at one time in my shitty life i was one of those pukes... |

Most hanging suicides do shit their pants. It just isn't typically visible in photographs. The Indonesians are rather unique, in terms of their journalism, because they often report this level of detail in the news articles about the suicide.  These details about the scene are usually included in the police reports and postmortem narratives here in the states, but we don't typically publish them in the newspaper. |
