Indonesia - 18 Year Old Boy Died from Throat Cancer
In September 2019 in Medan (Indonesia), 18 year old R.S. complained to his parents that his throat was itchy + painful. Months later, when his discomfort would not go away, he was taken to the hospital to see what was going on. Soon enough, 'R' was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. As time went on, 'R's tongue + face became swollen, making it difficult for him to eat + drink. His hearing + speech soon became affected too, though he still managed to utter "take my life, God, I can't take it anymore". His heartbroken parents felt utterly helpless. 'R's father's wage as a farmer was not enough to pay for the medical treatment he desperately needed. A family member set up a fundraiser but it still wasn't enough to cover the medical bills. It came to a point where surgery was vital for 'R's survival. He was having difficulty breathing + his face continued to swell, as did his neck. Sadly, on 22nd September 2020, 'R' passed away, leaving his family + friends devastated. ©Simone@DocumentingReality.com
