On 9th January 2021 in Bhopal (India), 26 year old P.B. hanged herself.

A suicide note was left on her bed, it read: 'My name is 'P'. I'm going to commit suicide. A.K. is responsible for this. A.K. Son of K.K.' She also wrote the address + mobile phone number of the accused..

'P' + 'A' had been friends for 8 years (though it's implied that they were in a relationship for that time, not just friends). Allegedly, he had said that he was going to marry her (though it turned out that he was already married to someone else). He had lied about his name + 'P' didn't find out his real name until halfway through their relationship.

'A' had forced 'P' to change her religion + had assaulted her enough that she had scars on her body (including from stubbed out cigarettes). After not being able to cope with the physical abuse, harassment + blackmailing, 'P' hanged herself.

The police registered a case against 'A' for suicide provocation.

Great post, terrible circumstances. Very tragic. If "P" was my daughter "A's" days on earth would be numbered.

Should at least kill the abuser before killing yourself. Otherwise he will just move on to another victim.

abetment to suicide? That can lead up to 10 years in jail and/or a fine. Let's hope the first.
