The head of the family poisoned himself with an unknown substance. The rest of them watched him die and eventually decided to choose a different method to start the reincarnation cycle.

This is the problem with religion. I guarantee they don't all do this voluntarily if they don't think they're somehow joining each other in the other side or next life. Totally retarded. |

It looks as if there are at least a couple of chairs and a ladder in the room. Guessing the ladder was used at least to put the ropes up. I wonder if they all went at once or once by one? We'll never know, of course.
