Re: Illegal Boat Journey Leaves 2 Dead
Your pretty dumb, huh? You ever been to PR? The poverty rate is no where near DR. It's just like another US state but it's a tropical island and the people speak spanish. Its full of ghettos and projects but what do you want it's a 100x35 piece of land with about 4 million people living in it and it's been colonized by the US goverment who built the ghetto and projects and created the poverty and drug trafficking that exist. That being said there is a lot of wealthy puertoricans and the island is just as full of luxury as it is full of ghettos. Here are some pictures of what PR looks like for your reference. https://www.google.com/search?q=san+...h=245&hl=en-US https://www.google.com/search?q=pr+c..._AUoA3oECA0QAw And this picture is a perfect example of what is going on. That is the capital 'Old San Juan". To the left you see a big gettho called "la Perla" and to the right you have the rest of the city where appartments monthly rent can go for up to +$1000 And in the gettho you can rent a house for like 50 bucks. Also you won't get killed or robbed if you go visit the gettho. Unlike other Latin countries the gangs are respectful and well organized. If they catch people robbing or killing for nothing they will take care of them. So yeah it is actually WAY less of a cesspool then Dominican republic if you ask me and yes I've been in both so I should know . |
