Illegal Boat Journey Leaves 2 Dead
On 11th December 2018, 11 people were illegally travelling on a boat from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico. On the 15th, a problem with the engine halted the journey. 2 people from the boat have been confirmed dead; an unidentified man + 29 year old Y.A.M. 5 people were rescued alive, they were in a state of dehydration + taken to the hospital. 4 people are missing. SURVIVORS: J.L.V., aged 34 J.B., aged 23 T.R.A., aged 21 Y.D., aged 26 M.M., aged 24           |

That's right since PR is part of the USA (territory/commonwealth) Once they get there and marry an American citizen they get the green card and are good to go. Or they start working full time two shifts as dishwasher or cooks in some restaurant. They make good money(at least for them it's good)and send some to their family back in DR (domenican republic) Or once they get established and legal , they set up a store to sell fruits and vegetables. That's what they do. |

They be very desperate and have a lot of courage to take that deadly trip. Sometimes they spent days under the sun with no food or water. Ive heard some horror stories from dominicans aliens who have survived the illegal boat trip. I've heard how they had to trow dead people off the boat and see them devoured by sharks. There was one story with cannibalism too. Appart from courage and desperation they got to have a lot of cash because the guy who drives the boat allegedly charges about $5,000 per person. |
