Re: I Have No Idea What's Going on in Russia.
I thought it might be a tour guide showing the celebratory welcome of the Russians by the liberated Ukrainians.......

Re: I Have No Idea What's Going on in Russia.
It's a fairly unique photo for a number of reasons. Having been to Russia a couple of times I can tell you that it's not that much different than any other modern Western country...their law enforcement, fire service, and emergency medical services are pretty much what you'd find anywhere else, especially in the larger cities. In other words...Russia isn't Kabul or Bagdad. For that lady and her photographer to have gained access to what would be considered an active crime scene is remarkable on it's own, but to be able to actually take the photo without anyone noticing and arresting both of them is beyond crazy. Think about if that incident had happened, say in New York...can you imagine the various circles of security surrounding the incident that those two would have had to breach to get into the actual crime scene? It boggles the mind. There has to be more to this story and how those two got physically where they were to get that photo. Russia is a weird place in many ways, but they're not crazy enough to allow two people into a crime scene like that...there has to be more to it than just this photo. |
