Re: Husband Waving an Axe Kills 20 Year Old Wife
Un-premeditated crime of passion committed in the heat of mortal combat with his own brother? That's like 5 years in Brazil, at most. It is also ridiculously common. Unlikely that this guy is gonna be made someone's prison bitch based on this. Brazilian prisons are ruthless against rapists and child-killers, but this sort of shit is so run of the mill that he'll fit right in and be back on the streets before Obama's out of office. |

Re: Husband Waving an Axe Kills 20 Year Old Wife
Cultural relativism, luv. Trying to apply the standards of a privileged, wealthy nation to the citizens of a vastly different one will only give you a headache. They have a way of doing things down there and they've been doing it a long time. It functions. Remember that, by and large, we only see the DYSFUNCTION here on this website. We could spend all day nitpicking the societal faults inherent in many of the countries we see images from, but we're still doing it as educated, comfortable white fuckers at a computer. I can't get into the cultural headspace of a lot of the places I see on here, but I'm not gonna waste any breath judging them for it or suggesting alternatives. |

I'll never understand how someone can get THAT much attached to another human being that isn't a child/parent.
