Jaime Jorge Kuss killed his wife with an axe, Carmen de Fatima Farias Kuss, with three blows to the head, shoulder and back. The crime occurred in October 2010 at the residence of the couple.

Jaime was drunk and got into an violent argument with his wife Carmen. She tried to defend herself & tried to run to the balcony of their house, but the husband went after her & struck her numerous times with his axe.

5 of their 7 children witnessed the brutal slaying and one child managed to run to the neighbours to seek help.

When the Police and Fire department arrived they found his wife still alive, but she succumbed of her injuries on her way to the hospital. Her husband ran away and hide himself in the area for several days.

When he later returned to their home, neighbours informed the police and Jaime was arrested.
