In the Sloane Square, Chelsea, London, branch of department store John Lewis there are open plan escalators spanning 6 floors. The drop from the restaurant to the kitchen appliance section is HUGE  After seeing this, I'm going to curl up in a ball on the escalator steps  |

Wow...is this the same mall where that little girl fell to her death? It looks so similar! I wonder why these mall architects are not paying more attention to the safety revolving around the escalators. Where I live, the escalators are always surrounded by a wall of some sort.
