It could be a rare syndrome called.
Malignant Hyperthermia.

Its a real medical condition usually initiated by certain general anesthetics (or other "triggering agents" such as stress). It causes all your muscles to contract, your blood to become very acidotic and your body temperature to go very high.
When I first heard of this disorder I could swear SHC is an extreme form of it.
