Human Skeleton Found in Thicket With Chain Around Neck
Ibotirama, Bahia, Brazil Two human skeletons were found in a wooded area in western Bahia. The first was discovered on Friday (4) after an anonymous tip-off to the Military Police. The body was chained to a tree, with a padlocked chain around the neck. During further searches in the same area, a second skeleton was discovered (I can't find any photos/videos of the second skeleton). The body had been partially buried in a shallow grave, with some limbs still visible, suggesting a hasty burial. The second victim was found just a few meters from the first. Around the grave, officers found cans of drinks, food packaging, and other debris, indicating the area may have been frequently visited. |

Could be misidentified as a dog to the untrained eye. |

Re: Human Skeleton Found in Thicket With Chain Around Neck
I'm wondering about the missing sternum. Does the sternum typically just fall out if a body rots long enough? Anatomical skeleton specimens usually have the connective tissue connection it to the ribs preserved.
