Horrific Wounds to a Cambodian Man's Face + Head
Yesterday evening (20th September 2018) in Kampong Thom, 60 year old S.S. was murdered. His face + head had been severely wounded with a knife + his body chucked in the water.

I thought the same thing, but the translation gave me 'knife' as the weapon. I hate Cambodian translations!

A machete, being traditionally a heavy blade used for chopping through thick undergrowth, would most like have caused far deeper and more 'crushing' wounds, from the looks of it this was a very sharp, long blade but probably a large kitchen knife or cleaver.
