Honduran Woman Self-Destructed
18 year old girl from Honduras was found by her boyfriend when he arrived home early in the morning from working the night shift. She had used a length of rope to hang herself and he told first responders that her body was still warm when he found her, so he cut her down hoping she could be saved. Obviously she could not, though various features of her corpse (absence of livor, dampness of urine, etc) denote that she is very freshly dead. The articles all mentioned that she was wearing only a black bra and purple shorts when she hanged herself, though I feel that is obvious from the photo. Judging by their neat arrangement, I suspect she probably removed the flip-flops beforehand rather than sending them flying during the noose-dance.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

The newspaper I got the photos from had a few more pics, all heavily censored. They were from the side and top angles and, since they didn't censor this one, I am assuming that her breasts were probably quite visible with her ill-fitting bra when the angle was shifted.  I sent an email to the editor and asked for uncensored copies. Sometimes they comply. We'll see.Article said she was about 5-7 weeks pregnant. Possible that was the reason for the suicide, but in a third world country with weak pre-natal care and the condition of the 'apartment' she lived in, I'd honestly be surprised if she even knew about such an early pregnancy. |

How do they know, for certain, she wasn't strangled to death, and then covered up as an apparent suicide?! Unfortunately, pregnancies are not always well received, even by fathers...
