Re: Honda Wave Rider Rear Ended a Truck
I've been in Thailand for about 7months all and all, and seen ALOT of death on the road. I've seen maybe 2 dead persons from a distance outside Thailand during my life. But in Thailand, I don't know, something like 10+. And that's just what I've seen during 7months! They don't care if they pass a bus via the right lane (they drive on the left) while the road is curving to the left, and they have no clue if someone is coming in the opposite direction. One guy had crashed in the front of a minivan, left a bodylike dent in the front of the van, and still moving on the street with his head cracked. A police officer was just keeping other people further away from the 'soon to be-corpse'. Another Lady had crashed in a sharp curve in the middle of a small town and somehow ended up in a huge pile of blood. My friend vent to check her out with a first-aid kit, but she had already died. She (my friend) looked a bit shocked/sad and said *sigh*, and a local responded; 'Don't worry, she's only Thai.' I avoid stopping, or looking, because a foreign is 'rich', and might get the blame, sued or blackmailed. (Sorry to say, but true in most regions of Thailand) And as a male you're not allowed to touch a muslim woman, even if you try to help. (Southern-Thailand is Islamic) Shortly; they see so much death, and have a different view on life, that they don't get shocked easily. |
