This is actually surprisingly common. There was a story recently about a stowaway on a plane from Uganda to London, who hid in the same place. He then fell out (unconscious, possibly also dead by that point) and went splat on a residential street when the landing gear opened during approach.
He was later identified as Jose Matada, a man from Mozambique, and was buried in an unmarked grave in a London cemetery.
