High-caliber, whats that? Does it mean high velocity like .223 or big caliber like the .50 cal? Both of them could do the trick... its a nasty hole.
caliber would be size. .223 could not do that, it'd just leave a cute little hole :)

The title says the person was hit with a high caliber bullet and then you ask if it was a high caliber weapon that caused the damage.
