Heavily Decayed Floater Washes Ashore
Thailand. Male cadaver in a serious state of water-logged decay. If not for the snazzy tiger tattoo, it is barely discernible as human.

It's rather amazing that the area around the tattoo is in such good shape. Does anyone here know why that would be? Is it the ink or the chemicals in it?

It lasted because he was floating face up. That area would turn leathery from the sun, wet, dry, wet, dry more sun....etc...
