Headless Body of Man Who Suicidally Fell From High-Rise Apartment
Wan Chai, Hong Kong A passer-by walking near Canossa College noticed a body in a flowerbed outside the school. The body was headless, and the left foot had been severed. The flowerbed where the body lay had a bent iron fence, indicating strong impact, but the head was nowhere to be found. Despite an ongoing rainstorm warning, a large number of police officers searched in the rain for the missing head. During the investigation, the deceased’s domestic helper found the balcony door open in the apartment and noticed many police officers downstairs. She went down to check and confirmed with the police that the headless corpse was her 54-year-old foreign employer, Brian. Upon further examination, police discovered that the head was not missing, but had partially shattered, with some parts lodged inside the body. Police also found an English suicide note in the apartment, in which the deceased expressed a desire to “go to a peaceful place.” Due to the heavy rain during the incident, surveillance footage in the area did not clearly capture what happened, but no foul play is suspected.      |

In Longhua district of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, a 21-year-old woman, Ms. Chen, ended her life by climbing over a stairwell window at the 30th floor of a building, and jumping. During the fall, her body struck the edge of the 6th-floor platform, causing decapitation. Investigation revealed that Ms. Chen had previously been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, and had received treatment. Happened in June this year. |
