A rarity, huh? I remember a case in Vermont ~5 years ago, where a schoolteacher was strangled to death by two white-trash lowlifes, while her young son watched helpless. They discarded her body in the woods or a river somewhere, IIRC. The local news station “accidentally” aired chopper footage of the victim’s decomposing body. For several long seconds. The vic’s family caught wind of this and I *believe* there was a lawsuit. I may be misremembering some things, but it looks like the same happened here. |

Oh, I see this happened in Connecticut. Maybe New England news stations are friendlier towards shock and gore?  Better for us, I reckon. |

Same with an incident on an LA freeway years ago in which a copter crew gave us a live shot of a guy blowing his head off with a shotgun. You could hear people in the studio yelling and groaning when it happened. |

That was an insane video. He was an AIDS patient who had difficulties coming to terms with his morality. He set his truck on fire and shot his pet dog, before blowing his brains out live on air. Daniel Jones was his name. That’s the guy, right? |
