Right on, Sharon!  At first I thought it was a laceration which allowed the femoral artery to exsanguinate him. But there is not enough blood external to the body (at the crash site or near the resting place of the body). Thus, my guess is that the blood must be contained within the pelvis as a pelvic fracture just as Sharon said. |
