Exactly. This has always been a brutal world. We just happen to be living in a moment where we can see such images, sometimes as they are happening, from the comfort of our own couch.

You are right but you fail to remember one thing: Christianity evolved from those dark ages. Islam is stuck there forever. That´s what you get if you forbid education.
