Nice find, she was probably a decent "climber" to get up there.

Re: Hanging Out In the Guava Tree
Kind of a stupid question, if one were to plan hanging themselves several days in advance and they were fixated on having a polite/dignified death in reason would they not think about emptying their bowels and not consuming much food in the days preceding. Wouldn’t one want a ‘clean’ death to spare humiliation and for what strangers and realities will have to see once they are cut down. Do they fail to think that far ahead or do they just not care. |

Re: Hanging Out In the Guava Tree
My condolences to the victim she appears to have been a sweet/fun person. It’s tragic for her to have hung herself over a relationship, I wonder if she were the same age as her boyfriend. I wish someone could transcribe whatever she’s written in her note.

“For Alpin. Thank you for everything you have given me… this is my promise first. I love you till I die. And this relationship I equate with my life. If this relationship ends, then my life will also end. For God's sake, I promise I won't bother you again, this is the end of our meeting. Promise me not to cry for me. I love you. I love you . Please, if I'm buried, please bring Emon"

Re: Hanging Out In the Guava Tree
She looks significantly younger than she actually was, I assure you. But yes, a rather ridiculous reason to hang oneself. But a sinisterly common one. I'd say that failed romance is the single most commonly sited reason for every female suicide I research, right up there with terminal illness and crippling poverty. But failed romance more than either of those two. |

Re: Hanging Out In the Guava Tree
1. Very few suicides are planned out that much in advance. They might be thought about in a vague sense, but in many cases they are triggered by a sudden catalyst and acted upon much more spur of the moment. 2. I assume that their thoughts are simply too clouded by depression and other more important shit than worrying about dying messy. Many of them probably don't actually know how common pissing/shitting oneself when hanging actually is. It's not something readily known unless one does some reading up on the subject. 3. I've spoken with suicide survivors and with people planning suicides on forums, etc. There are definitely some who plan things in advance and make efforts for things to be painless and 'clean.' But they're a significant minority. Based on the thousands of autopsies I have on file and the thousands of photos I have researched, most of them make a mess of themselves. |
