Hanging Belarusian Partisans in Minsk (Belarus, USSR)
Three supporters of Belarus (one woman and two men) were hanged by the Nazis on the Place Komarovskaya, Minsk (Belarus, USSR) on 10/26/1941. The woman was found hanged as Elena Ostrovskaya (she was a seamstress and lived in Minsk). Two men (one of them was a Jew) have not been identified so far. Elena apparently tried to preserve the young Jewish man in his apartment and was arrested by the Nazis and hanged in public. |
