Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Brazil. Found this on a Telegram group, where the caption simply stated 'A woman hanged herself'. On the road at the moment, so I'm struggling to make time to try and dig up some details. |

Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, India 19-year-old Shivani M., a prospective teacher who was studying for her eligibility exams, was found hanged from the fan in a rented room. Suspecting murder, the family refused to take her body, stating they will only do so once the 'culprits' are arrested. The family have filed a report against 'unknown people' for murder. Police have stated that the case appears to be a suicide, but they will also investigate the murder angle. |

Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Nicaragua. Teenager was found hanged from a mango tree. She apparently had had an argument with her partner (who, according to Facebook comments, was significantly older than her) the night before. Apparently, the argument was due to the fact that the teenager was pregnant. The teenager's relatives think this may have been a murder. |

Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Haha, I was just in the process of putting this set up when the site went down. Ah well, here's a few minor adds though you already nailed the best of the bunch. Nice work! I got mostly the same information, though everything I read from the police regarding early forensic work is that no pregnancy was found. I did find one or two articles that mentioned it, but only sourcing it by saying 'relatives said she may have been pregnant.' So I took it with a grain of salt. In any case, I don't think her family's nonsense about murder and suicide staging holds any water. Her fingers are curled up as is typical in a hanging. We can see in the photo with a clear facial view that her tongue is protruding as is typical in a hanging. Saliva is faintly visible on her chin, as well. Which almost always means she was alive when hanged. She clearly urinated in her pajama shorts while dying, but between the two angles the pattern of staining looks typical for a suspension hanging, accounting for some of it likely having dried over time. Her flip-flops were found scattered around but very near to the body, so likely came off while she was kicking around in the noose. I don't see any signs of violence on her anywhere. |

Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Here's another teen from Indonesia that a contributor tipped me to. There were a few articles about this one, but it was mostly social media posts. I think it happened in a very small town with little news/crime blogger coverage. Anyway, no note was left but nothing fishy was suspected by anyone other than some social media nerds who assumed it was impossible to hang herself on your knees. The official report from the police/forensic liaison was that her body had all the usual hallmarks of hanging. Most are pretty obvious from the photos. There is also a video of after her family changed her out of her soiled hanging clothes and dressed her for her funeral. No antemortem images could be found by me or the contributor who sent me the case. |

Re: *Hanged Women Thread* (NEW)
Found this while doing some Filipino-language searches on Facebook. As far as I could decipher, she had arrived in Saudi Arabia two days prior to being found dead. It was posted by a person claiming to be the woman's cousin - she doubts this was suicide. I know there are a few Filipinos on this forum - if they wish to help me out, they can PM me. |
