Uh, not to get really petty, but what makes you think this was a helicopter platform? It has an unsupported corrugated roof with no access held up by a tripod structure that would be hard pressed to support the weight of a chopper, much less a hard landing. Beside, why would they have a raised pad when there is plenty of open area for a landing site at ground level. It looks like just an observation deck to me.
