The autopsy is not complete and police have said an investigation is ongoing. They confirmed to the press, however, that they were likely treating it as a suicide due to the scene circumstances. A full report will be issued when the autopsy is done.

The visual examination report given to the press was similar to many Indonesian reports in these circumstances. They indicated that she had probably been dead 3-5 hours with livor mortis in the extremities, had hanged herself with a green nylon rope, that her hands were clenched, her tongue was protruding and clamped between her teeth, and that she had voided her bowels while strangling.

Just two photos. 20 year old housewife in Indonesia completed a WhatsApp video call with her husband, who was a short-haul truck driver. She then went down and had a snack and a drink with her mother. Then she went to her room, removed her hijab, tied it to a peg on the ceiling, and hanged herself.

No hanging photos, as the family had already cut her down by the time the police arrived. Her family said she had been depressed and apparently the argument over WA with her husband was a catalyst for her suicide. Her husband came straight home after the phone call, but she was already dead (and discovered) when he arrived. The man hugging her body in some of the photos is her husband.

The police report indicated that she used a plastic chair to stand on and, according to her niece, she never fully cleared it as her legs were still partially resting on it when she was discovered. The visual exam report stated that her tongue was protruding and saliva had dribbled onto her shirt. She had also lost bladder control and urinated in her shorts. No other details were included.

Yeah, motive was apparently confusing for everyone. She'd had a child within the last year and post-partum depression was tagged as a likely catalyst for her destructive action.
