29 year old woman hanged herself with a sarong in Indonesia yesterday. She had dinner with her mother, then went upstairs. Mom went up to look for her about an hour later and found her hanging. She had previously been treated for depression and spent 45 days in the psych ward after her last suicide attempt. The family refused an autopsy, but the attending medical personnel conducted a visual and physical examination of the corpse and agreed that suicide was the reason for death. The written report was fairly brief, indicating merely that her only injury was the ligature mark and that she'd shit in her pants while strangling. The video (which contains better images than the photos I could find) has a lengthy interview with the police, but I can only translate written Indonesian, not spoken, so those details are lost on me. |

Mexico this week. Only two photos, both censored. One censored the puddle, but left the body and the other censored the body but left the puddle. But between the two you sort of get a whole photo, LOL. Anyway, don't throw shade. Times is hard for hanging photos these days.  ·  · |

Happens a lot actually. Sources are weird and vary widely. Several of mine typically censor female cadavers, but not males. Some censor everything, some just faces, some just blood, some censor all injuries. But a surprising bunch of them only censor urine. No idea why, since there isn't exactly a mystery as to what is being censored, but who knows what makes them tick.  |

Here was a set, for example, that I don't think I ever posted in this thread. But it is a hallmark of the ridiculousness of censoring. This is a cut down hanger. The images came from an assortment of sources. The first censored only her face, but left the large urine stain at her crotch and down her legs. The second is absolutely absurd, as some poor journalist actually attempted to censor the entire urine stain, which as you can see, runs all the way down both of her legs past the knees. It looks utterly ridiculous and what's the point? Anyone looking at that photo knows it is obviously urine!   ·  ·  · |

Vocational school student was found hanging in her home yesterday. According to her cell phone, she was depressed due to some overwhelming debt (no reference as to who or what she could owe that much to at age 18) and wanted to end her life. Her friends agreed that she had been suffering from depression. Her body was found hanging by a friend of hers (possibly her brother, depending on source) who saw her through the window when he came to see why she wasn't answering her phone. The following notes were included in the police release to the newspaper: She used a small folding chair and affixed a blue rope to a ceiling beam. She wrapped a soft cloth belt around the front of the noose (presumably to create less pain on her chin and throat) and then kicked the chair out. The cause of death is suicide and the manner of death is asphyxiation by hanging. The visual postmortem conducted by scene personnel reported that her body contained multiple corroborating signatures of suicidal hanging: 1. Ligature furrow around the neck matching the accompanying noose. 2. Pupils clouded, with the left eye open 4mm more than the right. 3. Tongue swollen, blue, with the tip clenched between front teeth. 4. Petechiae noted along her right jawline. 5. Evidence of both bladder and bowel void in her sweatpants.  ·  ·  ·  · |
