I think someone tried in vein to slip the noose off of her and it got caught in her mouth..

For me it just looks like a loose end from the knot, which was 'cought' by her mouth....its clearly not encircling the head.

Its not uncommon that people bite their tongues, while hanging. This one got the rope between her teeth and thats it.

Beside that it seems to be a typical hanging with a slipknot under her right ear.

Its all speculation but per this one picture her neck does not show signs of constriction. Once hung it would be difficult to get the noose knot in your mouth? It looks to me that she has more than just a frayed end in her mouth. It looks like a knot to me.
